  4.     Pit bulls have chewed their own reputation -- as well as a
  5. number of people -- to shreds. But last week none other than actor
  6. JEREMY MILLER, of ABC's Growing Pains, came to the beasts' defense.
  7. If pit bulls are vicious, insisted Jeremy, it is the fault of their
  8. owners, who don't treat them with enough love and care. As for his
  9. own pit, named Sarge, "He looks mean, but he's so sweet." The real
  10. danger, says Miller, is his hamster Samantha, whose teeth are
  11. wicked. Ouch!
